Booking Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are and how to contact us

IPQ Nurse Training is a trading name of IPQ Healthcare Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15273051. You can contact us at hello@ipqnursetraining.co.uk.

These terms apply when you book any of our courses. Please read them before you book. By completing a booking you accept these terms.

In these terms, “you” means the person or organisation booking, and “learner” means the person taking the course.

2. Who our courses are for

Our courses are designed for registered healthcare professionals and healthcare staff whose role includes, or will include, the skill taught. It is your responsibility to check that your employer’s policy permits you to perform the skill once you are competent, and that you meet any prerequisites stated on the course page.

3. Booking and payment

Individual bookings. Your booking is complete when we confirm it by email. Payment is taken at the time of booking through Stripe. We accept the cards Stripe supports.

Organisational bookings. Where an organisation books places for its staff, we will confirm the booking and issue an invoice. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date, and access begins when the booking is confirmed.

Prices. Prices are shown on each course page and are in pounds sterling. We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.

4. What we provide

Each course includes the components described on its course page, which may be:

  • eLearning with a final assessment, accessible for 12 months from enrolment;
  • a classroom session with practical, supervised practice, on the dates and at the venue stated at the time of booking;
  • a competency record for completion by an assessor in your workplace.

We may update course content to reflect current guidance. Where we make a significant change to a classroom date or venue, we will tell you as soon as we can and offer you a transfer or a full refund.

5. Cancellation and refunds: individual bookings

If you are booking as a consumer (that is, as an individual and not on behalf of a business or employer), you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online.

eLearning. When you book, you agree that we will give you access to the eLearning immediately and you acknowledge that, once you start it, you lose your right to cancel. So:

  • if you have not opened the eLearning, you may cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund;
  • if you have opened the eLearning, your right to cancel no longer applies and no refund is due.

Classroom sessions. You may cancel a classroom place and receive:

  • a full refund if you tell us more than 14 days before the session;
  • a 50% refund if you tell us between 14 and 7 days before;
  • no refund if you tell us fewer than 7 days before, or do not attend.

You may transfer your place to another date once, free of charge, subject to availability, if you tell us at least 7 days before the session. To cancel or transfer, email hello@ipqnursetraining.co.uk.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days.

6. Cancellation and refunds: organisational bookings

Where you book on behalf of an organisation, you are not a consumer and the 14-day cancellation right does not apply. The cancellation and transfer terms above apply, unless we agree different terms in writing.

For on-site training, if you cancel fewer than 14 days before the agreed date, we may charge the full fee to cover the trainer’s time and any costs we cannot recover.

You may substitute a different member of staff for a booked place at any time before the session at no charge.

7. If we cancel

If we have to cancel a course, we will offer you a transfer to another date or a full refund. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur, so please consider this when booking travel.

Neither of us is responsible for failing to meet our obligations because of something beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness of the trainer, or a public health emergency. If that happens we will offer a transfer or a refund.

8. Your account and access

Your course account is personal to you. You must not share your login details or allow anyone else to complete the course or its assessment on your behalf. We may suspend or close an account, without refund, where we believe it has been shared or an assessment has been completed dishonestly.

Your eLearning access lasts 12 months from enrolment. Please download your certificate before your access ends. We can confirm your completion afterwards from our records, for as long as we keep them.

9. Certificates and competence

This is important, so please read it carefully.

Our certificate confirms that you completed the eLearning and passed the assessment. It does not certify that you are competent to perform the skill on patients, and it does not authorise you to do so.

Competence is assessed and signed off by an approved assessor in your workplace, in line with your employer’s policy, using the competency record we provide. You and your employer remain responsible for deciding whether you are competent to practise, and for the care you give.

10. Intellectual property

All course materials, including the eLearning, competency records and assessments, belong to us. They are provided for the learner’s own professional development. You may print or save materials for your own use, but you may not copy, share, republish, or use them to train others, or use them commercially, without our written permission.

11. Our responsibility to you

We will provide our courses with reasonable care and skill.

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of contracts, or any indirect or consequential loss. We are not responsible for clinical decisions or care provided by you or your organisation, which remain your responsibility and that of your employer.

If you are booking as an organisation, nothing in these terms gives rights to anyone who is not a party to the contract.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our training, please tell us at hello@ipqnursetraining.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.

13. General

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your booking are those published when you booked.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country.
